The dialogues of Plato and Saint Thomas Aquinas were such an enlightening model for the art of learning, as they encouraged people to think through such profound questions. To deny a belief in God because it's politically incorrect is to sacrifice the true art of education for a state agenda of indoctrination.
Syndicated columnist Ann Coulter says the belief in evolution nurtures our base passions for power. The evolutionary concept, survival of the fittest, seems to have fertilized the Marxist belief in class warfare and Hitler's power struggle among the races."
Ahh, i wouldn't have responded to this, but, he had to quote Ann Coulter. I gather someone's intelligence by the content of what they say, but, AC pushes the envelope.
Anyway, evolution is taught as an idea, and it seems to most that it is more plausible than being made from dust or a rib. Intelligent design is not a forbidden concept. Maybe you haven't heard of this, but there are Catholic (and the like) schools and an option of home schooling! I'll get to the 1st Amendment later.
Encouraging people to think through such profound questions is what Darwin and such did. Relying on the Bible for such is the opposite. Schools aren't denying a belief in god.
People that don't care for power also believe in evolution or atleast favor it over intelligent design. Blaming survival of the fittest for class warfare and Hitler is like blaming food making for people who diliberately poison food.
Faust: ..."the first Amendment also clearly says, 'Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.'
It states that the U.S. government will not endorse or sponsor any one particular religion"...
Intelligent design is religious.
..."Public schools are public property, and public property is maintained through tax dollars obtained by the government from tax-paying American people."...
Unlike private schools.
..."If intelligent design is to be taught in public schools, then what's to stop people who refute that the Holocaust ever happened as accurate history from being taught in class?"
-cop gets away for being dumb. So the police are dumbshits, and those who judge police are the teachers of dumbshits. if you are not familiar with the story, quickly, A cop lived, well, not lived, but slept and spent all his working hours off work, at a Party house. now, we cannot delve too far into what kind of party house, but when the house got busted there was coke all about him. now, I know some cops, I know some cool cops, but i don't know any that do coke. but, the douchebag got off because his lawyer convinced the "jury" that the residue was planted by the partygoers. now, I'm not a hypocrite that does medicated drugs and chimes marijuana is wrong, you should be hussed around by cops, but if your not intelligient, speculative, or observant, you should have your balls kicked continously before becoming a cop. I'd much rather get busted by a clean douche bag.
